Single Photo Amateur Winners

While none of our first place amateur winners have made the study of photography their life’s work, the interest and passion for the environment exhibited by their subjects illustrates the difference that each one of us can make in the struggle to repair the world around us. These three winning photos portray the ease with which we can capture a child’s interest in the natural world; the crucial work of women as stewards of the environment; and the simple joy that planting a tree can bring to one of life’s most life changing moments.
