UNDP-GEF supports countries to enhance land-based ecosystem integrity and resilience by mainstreaming sustainable land management (SLM) into economic sector activities.

In 2011, 20 countries are implementing 29 projects with GEF funding and the support of UNDP.  These projects have received US$ 99 million in GEF grant financing and US$ 385 million in country investments (co-financing).
