UNDP-GEF supports countries in sustainably managing ocean and coastal areas. This includes developing capacity in integrated water resources management, and water supply and sanitation.

In 2011, 25 countries are implementing 15 projects with GEF funding and the support of UNDP.  These projects have received US$61 million in GEF grant financing and US$ 96 million in country investments (co-financing).
