UNDP-GEF supports countries in achieving greater access to decentralized clean energy for the poor, and in enhancing the affordability of low carbon sustainable transport systems.
In 2011, 80 countries are implementing 77 projects with GEF funding and the support of UNDP. These projects have received US$ 275 million in GEF grant financing and US$ 1,435 million in country investments (co-financing).
