Assessment of Development Results: Ethiopia

The Assessment of Development Results (ADR) covers the period from 2000 to 2005. The evaluation found UNDP played a central role in facilitating and coordinating the dialogue among development partners in Ethiopia. During the period of evaluation UNDP demonstrated that it can play a vital development role even without having large resources at its disposal.

Assessment of Development Results: Honduras

The Assessment of Development Results (ADR) covers the period from 1998 to 2004. The evaluation concluded that UNDP has contributed considerably to the strengthening of democratic institutions and processes, through the promotion of dialogue on sensitive issues such as corruption, political and electoral reforms, and the democratization of the armed forces. UNDP-promoted reforms have made the political system more transparent and representative, enhanced efficiency in public management, and advanced the decentralization process.

Assessment of Development Results: Montenegro

This Assessment of Development Results (ADR) evaluates the contribution of UNDP to Montenegro during the period 2001-2005. In particular it identifies how UNDP has supported the overarching goal of accession to the European Union and analyses achievements in focal areas of UNDP, namely governance and sustainable development. The evaluation finds that UNDP has provided valuable assistance in the key areas developing the capacity of key ministries and in supporting the 'eco-state' concept .

This Assessment of Development Results (ADR) evaluates the contribution of UNDP to Serbia during the period 2001-2005. In particular it identifies how UNDP has supported the overarching goal of accession to the European Union and analyses achievements in focal areas of UNDP. The evaluation found UNDP to have supported the country in the immediate post-crisis period, supporting central public administration and in responding to the challenges in South Serbia.

Assessment of Development Results: Syria

The Assessment of Development Results (ADR) covers the period from 1999 to 2004. The evaluation found that UNDP Syria has made significant contributions to the creation of the first national plan for environment, to the promotion of a stronger poverty focus, with particular attention to capability poverty, and to a greater emphasis on democratic governance and administrative reform. In recent years, the government has engaged UNDP in its efforts to develop financial services for private sector initiatives and to enhance international trade.
