UNDP Regional Center for West and Central Africa (Dakar)
The Regional Center in Dakar covers 23 countries in West and Central Africa. Our experts support UNDP Country Offices and regional programmes around the continent on a demand-basis.
The center serves UNDP Country Offices in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome &Principe, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, Guinée and Guinea-Bissau.
We provide policy advice and technical back-stopping in all UNDP focus areas and "cross-cutting" themes. Our advisors provide support for country-level programmes and management. We also manage regional projects that provide support to regional institutions and individual countries in the sub-region.
We strive to be the repository of information on good practices by capturing, codifying and sharing experiences and successes with our clients and partners. We mentor communication officers in our area of operation, and provide advice and support on communication activities to Country Offices. We are part of the Secretariat of the Regional Directors' Team (RDT), which supports UN Country Teams in working coherently.
